A VISIT TO PALM SPRINGS
By Ann Parenti
Before the heat sets in for the summer and late spring, my husband, Curtis, and I decided to take a quick trip to Palm Desert and Palm Springs area. We hadn’t been there in about 3 years or more and decided it was time for a little R&R and a brief getaway for a few days. While there, we took in a Retro Show at the Palm Springs Cultural Center and Curtis got to inspect a lavender 1956 Chevy they had on display as part of the evening event.
The next day, we toured the Palm Springs Desert Museum, and they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will leave you with a few photos of the day. They were preparing for a street fair that very same evening, but we chose to escape the hustle and bustle before they began to close off the streets there. All in all, it was a fascinating little trip and nice to see everyone milling around without a mask on and enjoying the sites and festivals.
