One of Southern Nevada’s best off-Strip resorts is giving locals and tourists alike even more to love thanks to a recent transformation.
M Resort Spa Casino broke ground on its highly anticipated $206 million expansion in December 2023 and opened its beautiful new East Tower last December. The project nearly doubled the Henderson property’s capacity by adding 375 modern guest rooms and suites, bringing the resort’s total accommodations to 765. The comfortably appointed rooms range in size from 400 to 840 square feet, giving guests plenty of room to kick back and relax, with most rooms boasting breathtaking mountain or Strip views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The development also included the addition of the 15,000-square-foot Montese Ballroom, enhancing the property’s total indoor and outdoor conference and event space to more than 100,000 square feet. The resort’s casino floor was refreshed as part of the expansion project as well, bringing a sense of calm sophistication to the heart of the property with new modern chandeliers, 1,125 square feet of new carpet, enhanced lighting and newly installed blue accent pillars to represent the flowing energy of water. The casino’s table games pit was transformed with new travertine pathways and a color palette of rich ocean blues, sandy beige neutrals and golden sunlight tones, and its High Limit Room was completely reimagined with new wallpaper, accent walls and updated lighting, drapery, furniture and table configurations.

Not satisfied stopping there, M Resort Spa Casino unveiled several additional property updates over the past few months, including fully resurfaced pools and new cabana furniture at M Pool and the adults-only DayDream Pool Club, as well as the all-new restaurant Meril by celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse. Named after Lagasse’s daughter, Meril opened on July 16 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lively contemporary restaurant showcases dishes with global influences inspired by Lagasse’s travels and the food he loves to eat, with lunch and dinner highlights that include the Crispy Gulf Shrimp Tacos, the Wise Guy wood-fired flatbread topped with Italian sausage, piquillo peppers and chili peppers, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with tzatziki, lemon zest and dill.

“The growth of M Resort is so much more than just adding square footage; it’s about elevating the entire experience for our guests,” Hussain Mahrous, vice president and general manager of M Resort Spa Casino, told Chic Compass. “From the striking views in our new East Tower to the energy on our redesigned casino floor, we’ve created a space that feels both grand and deeply personal. And bringing an icon like chef Emeril Lagasse to Henderson with the opening of Meril is the perfect crown jewel for this transformation. We aren't just keeping pace with the growth of this community — we are setting a new standard for what a luxury resort experience can be right here in our own backyard.”
