CONGRATULATIONS to Janice Marie Wilson, one of Chic Compass magazine’s contributing writers, on her wildly successful new venture! When Janice discovered she was going to be a grandmother, she wanted to give her granddaughter a gift that would last a lifetime. Already an author of four books, Janice decided to foray into the world of children’s literature by writing a book for her granddaughter, Eliana; the name Eliana means God’s Answered Prayer.

The book, Eliana, Where Do Thoughts Come From? features the mermaid, Eliana, as she tries to find the answer. The book is a magical adventure where it demonstrates how children can be mindful, make their own decisions, and know themselves. It has been touted as one of the best books for children to read and was featured in the September Middleburg Life magazine as one of Two Books Your Child Must Read this Fall.

Her book is available on Amazon.com. Janice also created a video on YouTube – Eliana, Where Do Thoughts Come From? where parents and children can read along with her. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Share the World nonprofit charity that supplies books, and works to end childhood literacy within at-risk communities.

Janice is a whirlwind of energy, eager to share in her inspirational writing what she knows to be true for her, and is mindful of what she creates in her life through positive thinking and actions. She is quick to laugh and lights up any room she walks into with her fairylike sense of all the possibilities that await her in everyday living.

Very involved in the community, Janice’s philanthropic pursuits involve her in numerous charitable fundraisers. She empowers women through lectures and mentoring. As a Carlisle and Eccoci high-end women’s retail clothing manager, she produces multiple fashion shows and events in Las Vegas throughout the year. She is a travel and entertainment critic, and was voted one of the Top 100 Women of Influence.
