Nikki Michelle

DESIGNER, CEO, & PHILANTHROPIST

By Joan S. Peck

Nikki Michelle creates handcrafted and authentic jewelry that are rare expressions of love. That is who she is … a woman of passion for life and the beauty in it.

She is an entrepreneur by heart, and even as a young girl, she created a little business for a short time, decorating hair ribbons with crystals and pearls. It was her mother and grandmother who encouraged her to create her own line of jewelry, and some of her creativity is with them in mind.

Nature has always intrigued her … seeing something alive and magical in it, revealed throughout her creations. She loves rocks, with their unique beauty, formations, and vivid colors. “I wanted to collect, admire, and be adorned by them. I wanted to learn their secrets and reveal them to others through my creativity. It was my love for the intrinsic beauty in nature that called to my soul.”

“I soon began dabbling in an array of performing and visual arts, but designing Jewelry allows me to literally hold life in my hands, combining natural elements to create masterpieces, wearable art, a conversation piece, which eventually led to Nikki Michelle Jewelry.”

After college and leaving a job she had no passion about, she never looked back. Soon, she was selling her jewelry at local markets, women’s clubs, and even fashion shows. She acknowledges that it was the best thing that could’ve happened.

The Hampton University and GIA certified graduate realized her true calling while accessorizing for the wardrobe department of various film projects. “It wasn’t long before I began designing jewelry for television shows, including Desperate Housewives and Queen Sugar, to name a few, and my jewelry was featured in “Rolling Stone Magazine.”

Last year, Nikki Michelle Jewelry was featured and worn by models wearing fashions by David Tupaz during the famous Metropolitan Week of fashion held in Palm Springs. “I was honored to be a part of it.”

Her work in multiple projects and charitable events has led to Nikki Michelle being recognized as a fine artist of wearable art. The dedication of Nikki Michelle throughout the years has led to the development of a continuously growing business that provides clients with one-of-a-kind, premium quality pieces. At Nikki Michelle Jewelry, each piece of wearable art is professionally handcrafted with the utmost love and quality using hypoallergenic, diamond-cut semi-precious stones, crystals, pearls, and precious metals.

“I see beauty in everything, and I want others to see the beauty that I see and the beauty within themselves. Making people feel good is an extension of my personality that I cultivate and express through designing jewelry.”
