Robert Dolan Honored with Civitas Laurel Award by Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow

On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Caesars Palace, the Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow (FIT) honored Robert Dolan, owner and CEO of Cashman Photo Enterprises of Nevada Inc., with its Civitas Laurel Award during its annual gala, recognizing his leadership, business acumen and dedication to strengthening the Las Vegas community.

For more than two decades, FIT has empowered unemployed and underemployed Southern Nevadans to achieve self-sufficiency through education, workforce training and employment opportunities. The organization’s mission — to help individuals gain the skills, confidence and independence needed to build stable, fulfilling lives — continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of private donors and the dedication of its staff.

In her remarks, Janet Frasier Blumen, founder and CEO of FIT, reminded guests why their support matters: “We are back to relying on private donors like you to continue to move unemployed and underemployed Southern Nevadans into jobs that pay enough to make them self-sufficient. I am so proud of each member of our staff who continues to give everyone the excellent service that is the hallmark of FIT.”

That same spirit of perseverance defines Dolan and Cashman Photo. As Dolan shared during his acceptance, “Cashman Photo opened for business the very same day as Caesars Palace.” Since that historic moment, Cashman Photo has captured the evolution of the city — its people, progress and celebrations — becoming one of Las Vegas’ most trusted visual storytellers.

The Civitas Laurel Award, from the Latin “civitas,” meaning “community,” and “Laurel” symbolizing honor and victory, recognizes individuals whose leadership uplifts others and strengthens the civic fabric of Nevada — qualities embodied by Dolan throughout his career.

Introduced with heartfelt admiration by Cami Christensen, president and general manager of Westgate Las Vegas, Dolan was celebrated through tributes from Mayor Shelley Berkley, Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen, Gov. Joe Lombardo and many others — all echoing the same truth: Dolan’s legacy is one of vision, integrity and service to the community that shaped him and that he continues to uplift in return.
