RONNIE FABRE

THE LEGEND IS BACK

By Betty Boyd

Ronnie Fabre is a stage and entertainer extraordinaire known from Las Vegas to New York as the “little girl with the big voice.” She put this to the test when taking part in the show “Legends in Concert,” portraying Ethel Merman and Judy Garland at the Imperial Palace. Now, she’s back after COVID, offering virtual voice lessons.

At the age of 13, Ronnie was given a guitar by her parents, and she says, “That was the start of her life.” When she was 15, her father took her to Hollywood every Monday night to Troubadour (a nightclub). Over the years, Ronnie has met many famous people and has performed for many others. She sang backup for the Righteous Brothers and Bill Medley and opened for Allen and Rossi, Frank Gorshin, and Tony Bennett.

Ronnie moved to Las Vegas in 1970 and has proceeded to sing every major strip hotel. In 1993, Ronnie decided to become a vocal coach and has had many great students ranging in age from 7 years of age to 90. She teaches all styles of music, from Jazz to Rhythm and Blues. She’s an excellent vocal coach and brings out each student’s self-expression with an infusion of fun.

Over the last twenty-five years, she has become well known in Las Vegas music circles. “I’m serious about my students learning the technicalities of singing but having fun with it,” Ronnie says.

Ronnie even had a winner of America’s Got Talent show. In 2012 Nick Olate and his father had a dog act called “The Olate Dogs.” Nick is a singer, and Ronnie introduced him to her producer, and he got a record deal with Sony. To this day, Ronnie receives calls from the “America’s Got Talent” show every year to see if she has any prospective candidates who can audition.

She also teaches musical instruments, from guitar, ukulele, banjo, percussion, and even a washboard! Ronnie makes a great teacher because she loves people and likes to make them laugh and feel good.

She is open for business and does both in-person and virtual lessons. So get ready to sing or play music with Ronnie Fabre! Visit LasVegasVocalLessons.com for more information.
