Women of Las Vegas – The Game Changers

LAS VEGAS DESIGN CENTER

By Ann Parenti

The Las Vegas Design Center, with the expert help of Cain Brodie and Kara Mass, hosted an event on October 26 to celebrate National Women Owned Business Month. This was in collaboration with Chic Compass magazine, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special Legacy Edition called Women of Las Vegas—The Game Changers.

The luncheon and speakers panel were very well received, and there were over 140 guests in attendance that day. The event took place in Building B of the Design Center on the 16th floor with a stunning sky view of the city. The panel included four featured Game Changers from the magazine cover with a Q & A panel emceed by Stacey Gualandi and yours truly. We heard heartfelt responses from Lynette Chappell, Linda Smith, Kathleen Taylor, and Dr. Nancy Uscher.

After the luncheon and panel discussion, the guests were invited to a showcase of over 30 women-owned businesses in the adjacent Building A in the Center. Featured were artists, artisans, authors, skin care product companies, custom jewelry, kitchen & bath design, boutique and spa experiences, charities, and so much more.
