Foundation Assisting Seniors’ annual Illuminate the Night gala returns Sept. 24 at Via Tivoli in Seven Hills, bringing together an unforgettable evening of elegance, entertainment and compassion. The event honors longtime volunteer Lynette Chappell while raising vital support for programs that provide free medical equipment, wellness calls and meaningful assistance to older adults throughout Southern Nevada.
This month, Via Brasil Steakhouse is collecting backpacks and school supplies to help local students begin the upcoming school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. The goal is to collect 2,000 backpacks by July 20. Guests can support the drive by donating a backpack filled with school supplies at the restaurant. As a thank-you, donors will receive 10% off a Rodizio dinner, which includes a selection of meats, featuring picanha, prime rib, lamb chops and garlic steak, plus fresh seafood options.
