See the World - Resorts World Opens on the Las Vegas Strip

Often a great journey begins at the end. After more than 16 years of planning, design delays, developer/operator changes, theme, design, budget changes, and then completing its Big Bang during a global pandemic, Resorts World Las Vegas opened on June 24, 2021.

The Intermission is Over

When I walked into the Smith Center on July 14th for the media members event, I couldn’t believe it had been almost 16 months since being at my “home away from home.” I felt my heart skip a beat as I walked onto the stage where the “Heart of the Arts”® has stayed quiet with just the ghost light illuminating the stage all this time.

The Monsoons are Back!

Water is life. It is that time of year again, between July and September, when Las Vegas gets monsoonal rain. A monsoon is a seasonal change in winds, which helps draw moisture into the Southwest and often comes out of nowhere, pouring down gallons of water on arid earth. Some threats include thunder, lightning, flash flooding, downburst winds, and dust storms.

Hope on the Horizon

Alzheimer’s patients and their loved ones have a renewed sense of hope now that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration approved the first Alzheimer’s drug in nearly two decades. Dr. Kate Zhong, MD, MSC, FRCP (C), and her husband Dr. Jeffrey Cummings, MD, SCD have put Las Vegas on the map for brain research advancements and have focused all of their work on brain disorders—specifically Alzheimer’s.
