This month, Via Brasil Steakhouse is collecting backpacks and school supplies to help local students begin the upcoming school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. The goal is to collect 2,000 backpacks by July 20. Guests can support the drive by donating a backpack filled with school supplies at the restaurant. As a thank-you, donors will receive 10% off a Rodizio dinner, which includes a selection of meats, featuring picanha, prime rib, lamb chops and garlic steak, plus fresh seafood options.
At Via Brasil Steakhouse, the heat in the kitchen rivaled the desert temperatures outside as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County Fire Department traded badges and fire gear for aprons and chef’s knives during a culinary showdown benefiting local community organizations.
Creativity and community spirit are essential in nonprofit fundraising, and Anna Gomes has masterfully blended both through her culinary ventures as the heart and soul behind Via Brasil Steakhouse, which recently celebrated its 17th anniversary, and Loaded Empanadas, which opened its physical location in Summerlin in 2024.
