We would like to welcome Amy Crosley to the team at Chic Compass.\u00a0 Amy, along with Jamie Hosmer will be anchoring the new Chic Compass Connection Podcast which will kick off October 1.\u00a0 Look for some fun interviews to be broadcast soon!<\/p>\n

Amy Crosley is a drummer and percussionist based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is an alumnus of the Las Vegas Academy for Performing Arts High School. She is currently finishing her Jazz Performance Degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In the past, she won the Outstanding Soloist award at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival and was a part of many groups at UNLV that won Downbeat Awards. She was a former radio DJ at KUNV 91.5 Jazz and More, where she hosted 'Modern Jazz Vibrations,' a show dedicated to new and upcoming jazz music and local jazz musicians.<\/p>\n

Currently, Amy serves as the Social Media Manager for Kenny Rampton's organization Jazz Outreach Initiative dedicated to jazz education. Kenny Rampton plays trumpet in Wynton Marsalis's Jazz at the Lincoln Center Orchestra. She also teaches percussion at Clark High School and various schools in the Las Vegas Valley. Amy is the drummer for the show, \u00a0Zombie Burlesque, at Planet Hollywood. She plays percussion in the Henderson Symphony Orchestra and has various groups of her own. Two of her groups include the jazz quartet, Rudiments, and the neo-soul jazz group, Kora.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
